DOGS

Above, sitting in Austin’s old bed are two substitue friends– a Corgi custom made doll by a great artist we know, and on the right a Japanese dog– press his paw and he says (in Japanese) please do not press my paw.

It’s been over six months since we had to say goodbye to Austin, our beloved Australian Silkie Terrier– easily the greatest dog there ever was. Austin had a big personality, he was excited to go for a walk or a ride and at 11pm each and every night he would jump down from the couch and go over to the door to let us know he was ready for his final walk and then he wanted to go to bed upstairs.

I’ll admit it was very hard to say goodbye, but time has healed a lot– it’s at the point now where I smile when I think of him. If you look at the stuffed Corgi above– he captures Austin’s excited face everytime you said his name– he was ready to go to whatever adventure we were about to embark on.

Godspeed old friend, you’ll never be forgotten.
