CITIZEN is an app that allows you to get alerts when there is Police or Fire or Emergency services dispatched– not only around you but nationwide if that’s your thing.
Now I’m not someone who is afraid of the po-po in fact I am officially no kidding a fully deputized member of the Sheriff’s Department in South Carolina, but I do like to know when traffic is going to be backed up or if there’s something I should be aware of nearby. You can also set your alerts to the areas where your adult children live so you’ll be able to invade their space everytime there’s a traffic accident near them.
Check it out– it’s a good app– it’s $6/mo and so far I’m happy with it.
