We used to go to The Boynton quite a bit when we taught at the Worcester Art Museum- located just four blocks away it was a nice walk and the food was always good– even better- it was always nice and warm in there if the weather was cold and freezing if the weather was hot– best possible restaurant temperatures.
No longer teaching at WAM now for almost a decade it fell off our list of go-to places, but recently with the Red Sox in the Wild Card game we decided to go there since we aren’t able to watch at home.
It was not a disappointment- they also run daily specials – on Tuesdays it’s Mahi Mahi Tacos for $5 and on Thursdays it’s Personal Buffalo Chicken Pizza. I highly recommend both. Now two of my sons LOVE Buffalo Chicken Pizza– I normally can’t stand it because most places replace the red sauce with Buffalo sauce and it’s just too much– not so at The Boynton- they have a light layer of red sauce and the Buffalo is in the chicken so it doesn’t overwhelm the whole pie.
The service is always solid too– but be warned this place is loud. Like UxLocale (another favorite of mine) you’re not going here if you want to have an intimate conversation with a friend.
