New WACOM Tablet

I’ve been using WACOM tablets for nearly 30 years now. I currently have TWO Cintiq’s one permanently setup in my studio and one I bought to use for travel which sits in a box because it’s too much work to travel with it and all the adaptor and power cables it needs to operate, a cordless self running WACOM tablet is something I’ve (and a lot of creatives) have been clamoring for.

The WACOM MovINK Pad Pro 14 is upon us– and it came just in time for me to realize I don’t want it because, doh, it needs an operating system and since WACOM and APPLE don’t love each other it’s an Android system.

I gave Android a shot many years ago and I hated it, not as much as I hate WINDOWS ™ by any means, but like WINDOWS ™ it’s just a poor man’s version of Mac IOS, which means I won’t like it.

I guess an iPad should be able to do the same thing- I bought a 13″ iPad and an Apple Pencil, I have Photoshop on the iPad but I have a hard time figuring out where the files I save go (and I’m guessing here because I haven’t actually used it for that purpose in about two years– I use the iPad to watch movies on at bed time) but vow to some day try and make it work for me.

There’s also the option of working on paper, which is what I tend to do, the current camera on my iPhone is so good that I can usually import that photo and its enough to build on.

But for anyone interested in a WACOM that is independent, and if you don’t mind Android give it a looksee;
