See the above AI Image? That’s the way lighting in your house should work. I recently bought some light bulbs on Amazon since that’s the only place I shop anymore and popped them in and they are SO bright and SO white I could literally do surgery in the room they’re in.
Ambient lighting should feel comfortable and warm– I noticed driving around the other evening that more and more people are switching to the stark white frigid LED lights– okay do you save money with them? Do you need the equivalent of the bat-signal shining inside your house? I don’t get it. Same way I don’t get overhead lighting– it’s almost always horrible and it creates a Guantanimo Bay style interrogation feel to the room. Lamps are your friend. To be fair I have recessed lighting in my kitchen, all warm bulbs, and it looks nice, but seriously where is the world going when we want these hospital style bulbs in our house?
