So how was the big snow storm?
Snow feel pretty hard starting early evening Sunday night and past midnight— it was falling at a steady clip and it was piling up pretty quickly.
We woke to a really pretty scene— its always nice when the snow covers everything.
Shoveling? Well that was a different story— I usually shovel in what you would call a light weight jacket and gloves because you get hot shoveling.
Not so yesterday.
It was brutally cold and the wind was fierce, within the first five minutes it felt like I wasn’t wearing gloves at all. I went and got hand warmers and dropped them into my gloves but they didn’t do much where my fingers were.
I kept at it— drifts of 8-12” inches but the snow was reasonably light. The snowblower wouldn’t start— so I just hit it with the shovel.
Fingers burning I decided I’d go inside for a while before attacking the driveway and spotted #2 son’s car parked next to my house- there he was finishing up the driveway to my unending gratitude.
Overall— total of about 6” of snow— so what we’d call a minor storm— but the bitter negative zero wind chills certainly made cleanup difficult.
