EMAIL FEATURE BLOCKED SENdERS
I hate Gmail. HATE it. I have a Gmail Account because Google rules the world— it’s andyhatesgoogle@gmail.com — go ahead and send it a message I will never see it because it’s a black hole and exists solely so I can log into YOUTUBE to watch Red Bull Soap Box Racers or Rocky and Bullwinkle Cartoons.
I use Zoho Mail— it’s not much better but I like the interface of it, and it does a good job with SPAM— but one of the features that I find strange is when I click on REPORT PHISHING and then BLOCK SENDER I get the warning above making certain “I understand the risk, proceed”— the risk? The risk of what? Blocking someone who is either spamming me or worse, phishing to get my financial information? Does Zoho think there’s a chance that person and I somehow down the road might become friends?
“I tried to send you those baby photos of your godson, but it says I’m blocked!”
“Oh yeah, remember when we first met you were trying to get my financial information by claiming to have an invoice for $600 from Geek Squad?”
“Right! Oh those were fun times!”
Yeah I think I can safely say that if I’m blocking you there’s not much of a chance we’re going to miss out on some great friendship. More on some nefarious hijinks later.
