We saw yesterday how Gestures combine with words create a change in how the line is delivered, we can do the same thing with facial expressions as shown above.

Eisner adds TIMING to the narrative here as the character in the story (himself) makes his way into his office. You can see the use of shadow, varied camera angles and sound effects all add to the narrative.
