PLUTO TV

When I first cut satellite/cable many years ago and switched to streaming I was an early adopter of PLUTO TV- reminded of such when my good pal Bret Herholz mentioned it to me. Well I realized that I had completely forgotten about the service until I got to the point that I had pretty much exhausted my own home created network of streaming and still needed something to put on while I work.

PLUTO if you aren’t aware, is a FREE streaming service which offers dedicated channels to various TV Series including MIAMI VICE, THE WILD WILD WEST, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, SUPERMARKET SWEEP, DATELINE, MYTHBUSTERS, COPS and a whole lot more. Now somewhere there is a master streamer of all these things because DATELINE for one is often on multiple services and they seem to be the same episodes.

Pluses to Pluto- Variety- it’s free.

Minuses to Pluto- A fair amount of commercials but even worse, the same commercials over and over again. Some are so annoying I’ll switch the Channel as I hear one starting.

There are other services too- Amazon Prime has a pretty good selection for streaming and I often find some really rare things there.

Pluses to Amazon Prime - very obscure titles are often included.

Minuses to Amazon Prime - it’s not free and some things STILL have commercials.

There is also TUBI which I’ve found has a good selection, it also has automatic play so it loads the next thing it thinks you might like and the vast majority of the time it’s accurate!
