NO POP UP NOTIFICATIONS

I’m a fan of Macs- they aren’t perfect but they are a lot better than PCs- and I know I’ve used both.

For some reason, Pop-Up Notifications automatically resume on some of the websites and apps I have something to do with. I have a terrific defense system which checks for Malware so I’m good for that— but about every three months I have to go back to SETTINGS>NOTIFICATIONS and turn everything off. I can’t just hit the master NO NOTIFICATIONS switch because I do want reminders from Calendar and Reminders— but I don’t need updates from things like RETROSUPPLY (great site) or WCVB (I don’t even remember ever going on the Boston ABC Affiliate).

You know what notifications I want?

1- One’s I put in. Like remind me about a deadline, or an auction I’m following is coming to a close. Bill is due, or whatever. If I put it in and check off ALERT then we’re good to go.

2- Notifications that a hurricane, tornado or some other natural disaster is about to hit—THAT I’d like to know about.

Anything other than that? Keep it to yourself.
