MAN VS PIZZA PART IV

Last week I went to Table 12 in West Boylston for their Monday/Tuesday special offer of buy one pizza get one free. This was going to be too big a job for me and Veronica so I opted to go with my three sons. We opted for a T12 Special which is shredded hamburger, pepperoni, sausage, peppers and mushrooms and a Hawaiian Pizza. We also ordered a thing of Bone In Wings because we are all fans and these were advertised as perfectly crispy which is something few places can seem to get right.

I made a reservation which was a good thing because the place was packed. One thing to note about Table 12— it’s unique in it’s layout which is long and narrow— sort of like if you threw up some walls in a bowling alley and served food. The parking lot is equally long and narrow— it’s actually hard for most people to pull into a spot— and folks, PLEASE save yourself a life’s worth of trouble and back into parking spots— I know it’s harder, but leaving will be so much easier for you.

We got a table about four steps from the hostess stand, put in our order and waited for our food. One of my companions described the decor as if it was decorated from objects on Facebook Marketplace— not having FB it was translated to me as “like Craigslist”— which made me laugh. The waitress was attentive and fast with our drinks. The food was a bit on the slower side but I actually prefer that because I don’t like to feel rushed. T12 is a sports bar type of place meaning there are multiple TVs so it’s very loud.

The Wings arrived and they were stellar— perfect amount of sauce, very crispy— reminiscent of both the Original Ground Round and Tortilla Sam’s back in the day— and yes I do know that the Ground Round has returned— when the hoopla dies down I’ll go try the wings.

Shortly after the pizza arrived, I’m not one to point out portions but I can see why the BOGO offer is such a hit— they were what I could best describe as small to medium regular Worcester Style Greek Pizza— kind of a thick crust with light sauce and heavy cheese. The T12 Special was the better of the two— the Hawaiian Pizza needed less cheese, more sauce, more pineapple and more ham.

Overall I won’t be back for the pizza but I will be back for the wings.
